In our part of the world it rained most of the day Thursday. And it rained here and there throughout the week. That may not seem relevant, but I assure you it is. See, we were helping the husband’s sister and her family move on Friday.
They have two kids. So, it was a family of four. Did I mention the kids were young? That’s the equivalent of moving a family of six. Young kids have so much more baggage.
And one of the reasons we were asked to help was because we have a truck. Trucks mean that you don’t have to rent one. Even better, we have trailers that tow just about anything…like all the big furniture.
So, we gladly offered to help, get to spend some time with the family, and save them some money. The unloading of the house and the loading of the trailer took nearly no time at all. Soon the trailer was over flowing with sectionals and mattresses and entertainment centers, oh my.
The truck had been pulled into the front yard. And this is where the rain was relevant. Now it was stuck. And so was the truck. And after a while we pretty much despaired of ever getting either of them free. And when we finally did, the husband looked at me.
husband: I don’t think even CroftgateUSA can fix this.
I wasn’t ready to give up yet.
Much of the mud dried and fell off while we drove. Back at home, we pondered removing the rest with water. That’s when we discovered the boy had run over the hose with the lawnmower. Luckily we had Aquanil-X to make all the difference in the world. The truck was once again returned to its lovely shiny silver color. A little Tire Shine and the tires were back to new. And the husband was smiling again.
