My husband doesn’t get sick often.  In fact, we’ve been together for nearly four years.  And in all that time, I think he’s been sick maybe once.  And he’s like Chuck Norris.  He scares the sick away, so it’s not that it lasts any length of time.

Oh, but any time can seem too long when you are sick.

So, I did everything I could to try and make him feel better.  I offered his sick tummy dry toast.  I offered him saltine crackers.  I offered to pick up ginger ale.  I ran to get some more of those fruit flavored Tums that he likes so much.  It’s my ultimate compromise since I’m more of a mint girl.

It seemed like they were working.  Only about twenty minutes later, he rushed to the bathroom and lost everything he’d eaten in the last few hours.  It wasn’t pretty.  And he became pretty miserable.
